As technology continues to improve and the internet becomes more and more useful for businesses, the amount of tools available for improving productivity is overwhelming. Years ago, a business owner would not be able to conceive of some of the tools we have at our disposal today. For instance, in less than a few weeks your business can use a social networking site to target its message to thousands of people across the world. You can spread ideas without having to leave your computer desk and get instant feedback from clients or peers. The information age is doing amazing things for business enhancement, and photo sharing is one of them.

In the past, if you wanted to share photos or projects with your clients, you would have to create a portfolio and schedule a meeting. These days, the process is not only simpler, but much more time efficient. Consider how the average person uses the internet for photo sharing these days. You can create accounts on sites like Flickr.com and tag your photos with your URL or personal website. People can find your photos from any computer in the world. People use MySpace and Facebook to share photos of their pets, families, and adventures. Now, as a business owner or project manage, you probably have several of the same needs without even realizing it. Rather than share photos of your family, you can share photos of projects or other tasks. Pictures do not have to be taken from a camera either.  You can use PowerPoint slides, Photoshop files, or any other form of digital media.

The problem with business sharing is that most of the sites online use unrestricted forms of access, meaning that anyone can see your pictures. However, there are sites that realize businesses need the same form of sharing utility while also implementing some sort of account or user privileges. These sites, although few in number, are a perfect example of how personal uses of the internet can be idealized in the business world. Business photo sharing online is the future of project management and is so practical that you’d be a fool not to use it. You can share virtually any type of file or photo to any co-worker or client across the globe, which means you can get virtual feedback without ever having to leave your office.

As the internet continues to make leaps and bounds in terms of personal and business productivity enhancement, you will find more and more ways to save time and money in the business world. Business photo sharing is just one of the examples, but it is one that shows how much the internet can be used to make our lives easier. Without ever leaving your office or creating a portfolio, you can share project photos and tasks at the push of a button. You just have to be smart enough to see an opportunity and make the most out of it. Someone in your field is using the internet to stay cutting edge, will you be the first or the last?
